Calathea roseopicta is another really pretty calathea plant.   Some calathea's prefer low light while others can take super bright light as long as it's moist and humid environment.   In the landscape we use calathea's as understory plants of tree and palm canopy's and in an area that does not get direct sunlight.  They grow really well around the edges of a pond or water feature as they get the mist of moving water.  Calathea roseopicta likes to grow in indirect or bright light.  We plant them under larger tree or plant canopy as a ground cover in areas that are shady and moist.
 
These plants are super full in an 8 inch pot.
